Also the -40 armor of [skill]Healing Signet[/skill] seemed a bit steep for my big, bright noob's eyes.. so I chose Monk secondary as a more reliable, shorter casting speed support for my primary with no intention of using anything other than an 87.5% warrior build.
I used to think that as well but then I realized something, it's only 2 seconds. It's not like every single monster or enemy will target you and unload everything they have in 2 seconds. Seriously, HS isn't meant to save you, especially if you do have loads of aggro or there's a boss ele around.

I went W/Mo the same reason I go /Mo with most of my new characters. I figure that while I'm getting used to playing a new class, I can have access to relatively generic healing skills, then as I see where the strengths and weaknesses are, I'll be ascended and adjust my secondary accordingly.

I actually started off as a W/R, but went on to unlock W/M when I got Lion's Comfort, which made Troll Unguent less useful. At that point I could focus my points on Warrior abilities making myself a pure Warrior with a res.

And for farming, I invest into Protection Prayers, but I'm still pretty bad at farming.

I am not talking about 55 Warrior here and don't use one but Mo/W,/Mes/N/E all need it as well N/Mo and Mes/Mo. if not using SoA.

The more I play the less of a big deal the -40 armor seems. I'm barely six weeks into GW for the first time, so I guess this was my first impression regarding [skill]Healing Signet[/skill].

Once you get tactics up enough to gain 150hp from Healing Signet the chances of anything hitting for more than 150dmg in the 2 seconds of casting is rather slim.

We should've started a club. Death Knight > Paladin anyday...

Bunch of wet-eyed peons...

W/Mo = useless. Why? They're healing is garbage. Strength of Honor IS good but it's probably the ONLY good thing going for W/Mo [smite is the only acceptable W/Mo in my opinion] but even then other enchantments, though can be removedl do more damage. At least SoH needs no weapon req.

W/N = perfect synergy. What other class combo has secondary skills DESIGNED FOR WARRIOR'S DAMAGE?! gah! I are crazy...

Death Pact Signet says hi.

If you're playing with players bad enough so that Death Pact Signet is bad, Rebirth > Restore Life.

I don't use swords so Paragon is out the window.

Elementalist skills [conjure] force you to use a certain weapon elemental. I like flexibility.

Necro magic skills focus on physical damage, oh wait, that's EVERY warrior's weapon I thought... :\

Oh before I forget, why not have an elementalist bring a conjure elemental for ya instead of yourself huh? They're elemental stat is obviously higher than yours...

Same reason why a necromancer should bring barbs I suppose since their curses is clearly higher... ^_^

Oh yes, W/E conjures have been nerfed now that Conjures link to your damage. That means it no longer ignores armor...(unless they changed it back without me knowing) Barbs still does. YAY W/N!

Necro's focus on shutdown and support, not physical damage.

Because conjure's cant be cast on other allies, only the caster...

Running a w/n just for barbs is a stupid ass idea. You would be much better off having a necro hero in your party to do the barbs/ss and leave the actual spellcasting to them.

hm....war/necro with barbs???

Maybe if your bringing 3 hero rangers all running dual shot/forked shot but other wise it seams like a real waste of time.

Think about it this way, you cast a conjure on yourself once and can attack any foe, you cast barbs on one foe then are forced to cast it again and again and again...your energy just won't support that. Not to mention the casting time of 2seconds....

Yep conjure really works well for a sword Warrior even after the nerf of conjure (if you want to call it that). Especially if you find other good ele skills to bring into battle to support you.

Hundred Blades
Sun and Moon Slash
Conjure Frost
Frigid Armor

My thinking when I was first making my guy:
Ele: Not enough energy
Necro: Why hex when I can sever/gash?
Mesmer: SUXXORZ
Ranger: I don't use bow...
Monk: Healing that doesnt lower my armor, sign me up.

And mending conteracted my victos blade
